The Mercury Project is a school accounting project and is named after the god of accounting (Hermes for the Greeks and Mercury for the Romans), whose characteristic is the invention of accounting writing, such is the fullness of the accountant's action, since the stylized caduceus incorporates not only the golden staff, but also the helmet and wings, that is, everything that Mercury used to protect his enterprises.

The graphic symbol is primarily based on the initial letter of the name Mercury; by using the letter M, we bring the association with the university theme of sports teams, along with the structure of the owl (mascot), which symbolically represents knowledge.

The logo was designed with the intention that its base application would be in petrol blue for "Mercury" and dark mustard for "Project" with a pink background, and the secondary application would be the reverse.
